Newsletter
Welcome to the first Wider Sky newsletter
These are exciting times for us. The beginning of a new era and we look forward to having you on our journey alongside us.
Joy and Meaning
We’d love to hear what in your life brings you joy. The first thing that comes to mind is the important one.
For Mark it’s football! York City Football Club!
For me it’s growing flowers from seeds and keeping that circle of life going from one year to the next.
What brings you joy? Something that’s endured through the years and through good times and bad that you can fall back on.
Another way of looking at it is the Japanese concept of Ikigai. This is a Japanese term that blends two words: “iki” meaning “to live,” and “gai” meaning “reason,” which translates to “a reason to live.” It’s a concept that encourages people to discover what truly matters to them and to live a life filled with purpose and joy.
Please email me – [email protected] – with your job-bringer.
I’ll share the answers (but not your names) alongside the newsletter page on the website. We might be able to inspire each other to new joy.
Ikigai responses – a really good book, my dog, Greggs!
